Police report: Toronto body parts case not linked to Luka Magnotta

I don't know what is going on with this case as the story is just unfolding ... just thought I would put the story HERE. It is extremely rare to have murders involving decapitated bodies, even in a city as large as Toronto.
Update Mon. Aug. 20, HERE police have found more body parts in East Toronto.
Update Tues. Aug. 21, police have identified the victim and there is more on the story HERE.
Update Mon. Aug. 27, HERE police have charged the former boyfriend with murder.
Update Wed. Sept. 5, police have found more body parts in a suitcase near Bluffer's Park ... and another update on the torso found in the Niagara river ... it belongs to yet another unnamed victim.

I am going to add this story HERE as I must have missed it. I never knew that Luka's lawyer Luc Leclair had contacted Mr. Salta and requested he not disclose any more information in regards to "Manny" ... does this mean the identity of Manny will come out at the trial?

Jun Lin's family has shown a lot of strength in dealing with this tragic situation. I wish them all the best moving forward. Jun Lin's mother was not present at the public funeral held HERE for her son. It must be just too overwhelming.

Luka Magnotta was target of porn star sting plot

The idea for the porn gig sting operation HERE was hatched by Rescue Ink, a group of animal activists based out of Queens, New York and involved probably the biggest name in porn Ron Jeremy.

Their membership includes police officers, military personnel and several heavily tattooed "street guys." Not that tattoos mean anything (I have my own fair share of tats).

Ever since I have been following this case there has been virtually nobody that has come forward and admitted to knowing Luka Magnotta. Well, we have a Daily Mail story HERE about "Barbie Swallows ," another ex-lover of Luka Magnotta. The story is also reported HERE in the SUN about the time she and Luka Magnotta were dating back in 2006.

The family of Jun Lin hold a private memorial for their beloved son and label Magnotta a "Monster"

My thoughts go out to Jun Lin's family as most of us will never feel the pain they must feel for what has happened to their son. The news story of the memorial is HERE including the entire text of the eulogy given by his mother. The service was held at Concordia University's Loyola Campus.

Please also note: Concordia University is handling donations to the Jun Lin Family Fund, set up last week by Concordia's Chinese Student Association.
